Most are reasonably priced compared to world standards, offer breathtaking beach settings with exceptional snorkelling, with wonderful and genuine hospitality. Food quality is sometimes lacking due to limited resources and the fact that isolated locations and small number of guests make it impracticle to keep a broad menu. However, if you like fish and fruits, you cant go wrong. Fiji is the most popular destination and offers a mix of large family hotels, small intimate resorts and traditional thatch beach bures operated by local Fijians in their village environment. The Cook Islands is the preferred destination for a laid back holiday with lots of small self catering beach bungalows and excellent restaurants. Tahiti is renowned for its glamorous over water bungalows, but is very expensive. Samoa excels in offering traditional beach bungalows alongside exquisite beaches and amongst stunning coastal scenery. Tonga is the ideal geataway from the crowds holiday with a couple of small resorts and great beaches and snorkelling. Hawaii meanwhile, has many large hotels and bed and breakfast guesthouses and is ideal for those wanting to experience the bustle of Waikiki Beach or for people who love golfing and sightseeing holidays. |
